What is the CIU?

The Workingmen's Club & Institute Union was founded in 1862 and is the largest non-profit making social entertainment and leisure organization in the UK and currently has over four million members.

January 2008 saw the introduction of a 'CIU Dedicated Free Legal Helpline" for all current CIU pass card members and their families.  The helpline is managed by FreeClaim IDC and provides '30 minutes free initial legal advice' from specialist independent law firms on a range on legal issues.
